Holi is vibrant and meaningful Indian festival that celebrates the arrival of spring and the harvest season. Join Create Dunwoody in this three-hour festival extravaganza of dancing, music, and delicious food. Participants playfully throw colored powder, dance, and feast to their heart's content.
AAPI Cultural Heritage Celebration
Join us in kicking off the May AAPI Month at Create Dunwoody's AAPI Cultural Heritage Celebration. Our Cultural Heritage Celebrations are free, inclusive, family-friendly events providing awareness and understanding of different cultures that form and influence our community. Through these events, we hope to promote unity and respect for all cultures while highlighting the unique and beautiful traditions of our different heritages.
Storefront Art Exhibit
The Storefront Art Exhibit showcases artwork by Dunwoody High School students in windows of local businesses. Businesses select artworks that capture the spirit of Dunwoody. Create Dunwoody promotes the temporary exhibit and creates a Storefront Art Tour Map. Some artwork is used in other exhibits and projects such as the City of Dunwoody’s Greenlight Art.
Latino Hispanic Cultural Heritage Celebration

Dunwoody Village Holiday Celebration

Dunwoody Woman's Club Trolley Art Tour
Dunwoody Woman’s Club's meet and greet membership drive event will include a trolley (coach bus) tour to learn about Dunwoody Woman’s Club, Dunwoody public art, and new Perimeter commercial center developments. Includes several stops with food samples and signature drinks.

Rangoli & Diya Workshop
This event has been moved and will be offered at Diwali Storywalk at Dunwoody Nature Center. Create Dunwoody invites you to join for an interactive and educational workshop providing insights into Indian culture. Participants will learn how to make rangoli, an art form that is used to welcome prosperity and happiness during the Diwali season. Attendees will also explore Diya, or lamps, workshop that will allow participants to make and decorate clay lamps that are lit during Diwali to signify triumph of light over darkness.
We accept walkups to the workshop. $5 on site.

Celebrating Diwali, South Asia's biggest festival, guests will enjoy an immersive storytelling experience as they will be transported to Ayodhya to meet the family and learn of the story that has been told for over 1000s of years, while walking through a hidden oasis in Dunwoody.

The 2024 Dunwoody Scarecrow Showdown will take place the Greater Village Area from October 1st through the 31st. Place a creative scarecrow in front of your business. Have your patrons vote for your scarecrow design throughout the month of October.
Empty Nester Grad Party
Join Create Dunwoody as we host the 1st annual Empty Nester Grad Party, a gathering for parents who have successfully (or almost successfully) completed their parenting jobs and are now ready to bask in the joy of their kids flying the nest. We will share stories, laughter, and maybe even a few tears. We’re in this together, and it’s time to toast to this new phase of our lives! Free light appetizers.
We’ll have a care package station that you can pack with goodies to send to your college kids. Packages for sale while they last. Wear comfortable shoes if you’d like to participate in pickleball instruction.
