Create Dunwoody Cultural Heritage Celebrations are family-friendly events that foster awareness and understanding of the diverse cultures that shape our community. We aim to promote unity and respect for all cultures while showcasing the unique and beautiful traditions of our different heritages through performances, exhibits, and vendors.

Create Dunwoody is currently looking for performers, vendors, and sponsors to participate in this first annual event for our Black History Cultural Heritage Celebration.

This event will feature the short film Slavery to Legacy: The Alonzo Herndon documentary that honors the journey, businesses and legacy of pioneering entrepreneur who rose from slavery to build a business empire.  Alonzo is known for being Atlanta’s first Black millionaire and for starting Atlanta Life Insurance Company in 1905.  https://www.slaverytolegacy.com
